Fragments seem especially apposite these days……
Dance on the head of an app:
Zoom(doom)
Facetime poignantly/bittersweet cafe colloquia….even thought of doing a mock-up cafe: not as daft as it seems:)(Rainbow-coloured espresso cups, a few postcards of coffee-as-a-pick-me/you-up {random, memorabilia}; and -natch-some esoteric tomes………
Technology mega-angst; redirection-onto Zoom, interalia{citational nod to learned friend:P}-the fulcrum/conduit to many of my athwart-Covid-peak-world anxieties and broodings
Ordered Ballard: “The Unlimited Dream Company”(1979), dystopian landscapes of desuetude, sometimes re-configured (like Zoom) into a (sometimes) radiant new reality (lessons learnt re the environment, the need for socialism and all that; and valuing love and friendship-as opposed to money-more:))
Cf Facebook memes re : from:make -the- most -of- this -time to realise -your -true -potential, to:-
You should congratulate yourself if you just get up and make a coffee, then go back to bed
{No judgement or irony is intended re the above “coping ” mechanisms; i inhabit a contrapuntal zig-zag betwixt the two!}

PSYCHOGEOGRAHY: def. well, you should get the gist from a couple of these self/meta reflexions…….https://towardsutopia.wordpress.com/2017/03/14/my-gayqueer-aesthetic-a-phototext-constellationpsychogeography-part-1-the-living-room-lives-by-steven-benson/
or,
THE DECAYED HOUSE IN THE DERELICT STREET.PSYCHOGEOGRAPHY. BY STEVEN BENSON
What price psychogeography now…..
- our mental and physical/geographical landscapes have changed (probably irrevocably, whatever happens next)
- Our world is narrowed down to a micro one; looking down the end of a microscope at/through the lens or screen of zoom(other apps exist; TOO many!); at-if you are well/brave enough- a shopping “experience” of queueing and avoiding non-social-distancing-dimwits[so people tell me, as I am self-isolating/”self-isolating”{most things are in quotation marks these days}]
- Peregrinating in a forlorn-cum-solaceful flanerie around one’s semi-desuetudinous environs
- My speciality: i should like to make a library in cardboard boxes (but-apparently- cardboard can carry the virus….), label it all, positively Babelicious….. {cf Carrion:”Bookshops”, 2016, a beautiful, if dubiously heterosexist, metaphysical ramble round the world’s world-within-worlds bookshops; {now we have Amazon…}; an exquisite meditation on the random interconnectedness of life/people, perhaps, ironically, EVEN more random, via e-communication platforms, COVID-currently)
So, what about the up side…..
{what is next….?….we are in the Covid-hotel, liminal lobby}
