{PROSE}And, now, your Joan of Arc symphony is resurrected, like Joan, herself(in her glorious peroration).
Bar 1 starts with one of your sinuous,beautiful, winding chromatic melodies; it could be no-one else but you: a wholly distinctive style. The melody is a signature tune(like Mendelssohn’s end-of-movement OCD formulae, and a Donizetti stretta). It’s in the Second{ the first, op.3 was recently discovered, and is a towering masterpiece}Piano Concerto, in E minor: this, the only one of your works (apart from the semi-ubiquitous{knowing oxymoron}) Spanish Dances for piano duet, to cling, tentatively but tenaciously, to the very edges and fringes of the (recorded) repertoire [who chooses what to be part of the “canon”?who has the -Foucouldian-power]
