The bus at
To Belle Vale and
Passengers wishing to
Raise their hand
As involuntary memory emerges once again and the little green bus becomes, shuttled back in time, the 09.42 to Aberystwyth and Pwllheli (front two coaches to Aber and rear two coaches to Pwllheli; do not get in the wrong ones!), calling at
Dyfi Junction/Cyffordd Dyfi
And-the rear coaches-the same stations to Dyfi Junction then stations and request-stop halts, via
(that lonely sentry outpost, at the end of a four an a half hour journey)…
Another tortuous request stop journey,as the halts nestle amidst the castellated islands, the deep blue sea and the rocks (there is even an avalanche shelter)-heroic railway, partly rebuilt after the 2014 floods-a journey back to my 1978-1982 past.
Memories of memories, again inspired by the trigger of the little green, request stop bus…rhizomes upon rhizomes… the green shoots of memory, tracing itself into the present and future.
