VESTIGES:POEM

I sit in

The

Illuminated

Cafe

Looking at

The pink

Remains

In a pink shop

Of

Lewis’s:

She bought the

Pink

Christmas Tree

AS Lewis’s

Fell apart

……………………….

The past

Lives on

In such

Symbolic

Vestiges and

Remnants;

Just as

Memories

Live on

(Sort of)

Via

Tattered

Tenuous

Remains

……………………..

As I attempt to

Continue to

March on

Into the

Future,

With

My Memories

(nearly)

Intact

…………………………………

{There is a pictue of a group of the pink Christmas Trees, in situ, on the lost fifth floor of Lewis’s, just before total closure, at the start of my other blog “Decayetude”}
